Employee Engagement: Science & Practice - In this talk, Dr. Daniel Meltzer and Dr. Anthony Auriemmo will discuss what employee engagement is and isn’t, why it matters and how to use it effectively.  Dr. Meltzer will draw on his experience managing the employee survey function at a large financials company.  Dr. Auriemmo will discuss his experience managing employee surveys at Sleepy’s and Sprinklr.

Anthony L. Auriemmo, Ph.D. is a Senior Manager on the HR team at Sprinklr.  His role sits on the HR leadership team and he acts as an internal advisor to the head of HR and the head of global talent.  He specializes in employee engagement, talent management and strategic compensation.  Prior to his role with Sprinklr, Anthony was the People Analytics Manager at Sleepy’s The Mattress Professionals for nearly four years.  Anthony graduated with a PhD in Applied Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University in 2016.  In addition to his full-time position with Sprinklr, Anthony is an Adjunct Professor at Sacred Heart University and Farmingdale State College.

Daniel P. Meltzer, Ph.D.  is a full-time faculty member at Hofstra University teaching both masters level and undergraduate courses.  Prior to completing his PhD at Hofstra in 2016, Daniel worked at New York Life for more than five years.  At New York Life, Daniel’s primary responsibility was to manage the employee survey function. This included data analysis, visualization, and presentations to key stakeholders within the organization.  Daniel is also interested in research that can help employees have a better work experience and less stress.
